To book an appointment:
Our physicians see patients on an appointment basis only. Most appointments are scheduled for 15 minutes. When booking you will be asked the nature of your visit in order to allocate appropriate time. Please call (403) 443-5522 to book an appointment, choosing option 1 to speak to a receptionist. You can also book or cancel your appointments online if you are registered with our online portal, AVA Connect. Please see the News & Events page for further information on how to register for AVA Connect!
Appointment Reminders - canceling an appointment:
Clinic staff call appointment reminders to a select number of longer appointments only. If your email is on file, you will receive an email reminder for all your booked appointments. You can also choose to receive reminders via text message. If you are registered with AVA Connect, you can cancel and/or rebook your appointments anytime thru the online portal.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can book someone else in that appointment time.
Missed appointments without notice:
If an appointment is missed without notification of cancellation, you will receive a warning letter stating that you missed your appointment. If it happens a second time, you will receive another letter with a $60 invoice. Future appointments will not be booked until you have paid the fee. (We strive to be fair and are willing to listen if you have a valid reason for not calling to cancel).
Our physicians make every effort to keep their appointments on schedule. Emergencies do arise, however, and sometimes a delay is unavoidable. When this happens, we do all we can to minimize the inconvenience.
Updating your contact information:
If you move, change your home, cell or work phone numbers, or update your email address, please call the clinic or update your demographics in your AVA Connect portal so that our contact information for you is current. Every time you check in for an appointment, you will be asked to confirm or update all your information. This may be annoying, but it's to ensure that we can contact you in the future for any results, specialist appointments, etc.
What to bring to an appointment:
~Your health care card and/or picture ID may be required.
~If you are not seeing your primary doctor please bring either your pills or a list of medications that you are currently taking including vitamins, supplements, herbal and homeopathic remedies.
~Any forms or notes that you need the doctor to complete (please ask Reception if there is a fee for the completion of these).
